Nonprofit Serving Nepali Domestic Workers Opens Office in North Jersey as Community Grows
APRIL 4, 2024 — When the New Jersey Domestic Worker Bill of Rights was signed into law in January, it followed years of campaigning by various organizations to get the bill passed. One of those groups is opening its first New Jersey office.
Adhikaar, a New York-based nonprofit and women-led organization that works with the growing Nepali-speaking communities in New Jersey and New York on social justice and human rights, has opened an office in Jersey City.
